Relationships of Academic Support and Attitude Towards Future Career with Academic Procrastination in Students: The Mediating Role of Academic Burnout

Background: Given the negative effects of procrastination on various aspects student’s academic and personal lives, as well role psychological environmental variables in problems, this study investigated mediating burnout relationship between support attitude towards a future career with high school students. Methods: The statistical population descriptive correlational consisted all male senior students Gachsaran County, Iran, year 2021 - 2022, whom 234 were selected sample using cluster sampling. Data collection was done Attitude to Future Career Questionnaire, Academic Support Scale, Procrastination School Burnout Inventory. data analyzed statistically Pearson correlation coefficient path analysis SPSS-22 AMOS. Results: results showed that direct effect significant (P < 0.001). In addition, toward not significant, but its indirect also indicated 0.001), whereas there no burnout. Conclusions: findings demonstrated could mediate procrastination. Moreover, research model fitted well.
